Exeter, NH (July 17, 2008)—On Wednesday, July 23, at 7:00 p.m., clarinetist Christine Fell will perform with pianist Radmila Repczynski as part of the Phillips Exeter Academy Library’s Summer Concert Series. The evening’s performance, entitled, “Music from the Scepter’d Isle,” features classical music by British composers Charles Villiers Stanford, Gordon Jacob, William Lloyd Webber and James Waterson. This concert is the fourth in a series of six hosted by The Friends of the Academy Library, and will be held in Rockefeller Hall in the Class of 1945 Library, located on Front Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Fell moved to Exeter, NH, in 1994 and co-founded and performed throughout New England with the clarinet quartet “4 of 1”. For more than 10 years, she performed in New York City with the Mt. Sinai Orchestra and the Westchester Symphony Orchestra, and in chamber music recitals at Trinity Church and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Presently, Fell, who is a member of the Academy’s summer school music staff, has been performing as a soloist and chamber music player in the southern New Hampshire area, and has appeared in concert at the Duxbury, MA Art Complex Museum.

Radmila Hvezda Repczynski, also a member of the summer school music faculty, has actively performed in New England as a collaborative pianist for the last 10 years. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance from the University of New Mexico in 1993, and the New England Conservatory in 1997, respectively. Her principal teachers included Evelyn Brancart, Kevin Rhodes, Victor Rosenbaum, and most recently, Ludmilla Lifson. Currently, she serves on the faculty of Governor Dummer Academy and Phillips Exeter Academy, where she teaches piano and accompanies the choral ensembles. She lives in Newburyport, MA.
